A workshop exploring our purpose through discussion, guided yoga nidra (yogic sleep) meditation and reflection.
Purpose is a big theme, and yet, in quiet times the mind can naturally turn to mulling over this question of our purpose. Sometimes, even the body responds with an answer through dream, feeling or intuition. Sometimes we’re not so clear, or we’re not motivated for whatever reason.
In yogic philosophy, there is a powerful concept we seek to live in accordance with which is ‘sankalpa’. This, though linked to purpose, in a more subtle sense refers to ‘the essence of that which is manifesting’. What is that for you this year?
We feel that one of the greatest gifts we can have is clarity of direction and momentum. Much like hypnosis (but under your own initiative), yoga nidra – meaning ‘yogic sleep’ bridges the conscious and unconscious realms to uncover latent potential, activate the seeds of intention and to charge your sankalpa within deep brain waves states. Our aim for this workshop is for you to understand the concept of Sankalpa, to identify and hone what this is for you, and to bring this to life deep within your being.
What to expect
We invite you to light some candles and prepare your space so that you can really drop into a state of relaxation and body connection.
We recommend having a yoga mat and plenty of blankets, bolsters and/or cushions to hand to provide support, comfort and layers for the extended nidra.
A journal/notebook to record anything that comes alive for you in the session will be helpful.
Sessions take place via Zoom and you will receive the livestream link just before the session starts. You’re welcome to have your camera on or off for the session.

Creating a Sacred Space
There are many benefits to preparing your space before a ceremony or self-care ritual. We’ve written a blog article on our website which explores some of the elements you might like to consider, from simply ventilating the room to lighting a candle and cleansing with sage. Pour yourself a cuppa and read our blog article here, with some beautiful pics to inspire you to bring a sense of sacredness into your home. From us to you, with love xx
