Join Mindful Objects for an afternoon of mindful Japanese stone basketry and yin yoga
You will make your own cane wrapped stone using centuries old Japanese basketry knots. We will come together in circle creating a space of ease through meditative yin poses to relax and connect to our innate creativity with love and kindness. You will leave with a beautiful stone of your own to hold and comfort you on your journey.
Mindful Objects was created by designer Flik Hall as a space to explore and create thoughtfully designed objects. Having navigated a challenging period of poor mental health, it was important for Flik to channel her energy in a calming and restorative way. The core focus is on consciously creating through meditative processes to nurture and maintain balance. The current focus is on exploring the use of basketry techniques to instil a sense of calm and balance in our lives. Flik would now like to share her learnings and hold space for others.
Yin yoga is a thoughtful and meditative yoga practice where we hold gentle poses for a few minutes at a time to facilitate a deeper stretch into the physical and energetic bodies. Yin helps us to connect to ourselves and our innate creativity. This session will be run by Rachel from @myyogfitnessldn
Wear comfy clothes but no need to be dressed in yoga clothes as the yoga is not dynamic.
